This was related to not supporting Windows 10, so it's a different kind of a problem but the board wasn't that old and since they still make the AI Suite stuff, I feel the update would not have cost them much (if anything).

Although I did like the software somewhat better than the Gigabyte stuff, the Asus Software broke, too.

Also, they offer some different functions, so for more efficient safety, I use all three uninstallers. I noticed Geek and Iobit can detect things that Revo can't. Hi there I usually use Revo, Geek and Iobit uninstallers. I use them together because of their functions difference. (Edit: forgot the obvious bios updates.).įinally: I did use Asus Boards and the tools that come with them. I'm a regular user of Geek, Revo and IoBit uninstallers. Needless to say, this gets annoying quite fast.ĪppCenter is the official requirement for some of the other Gigabyte packages, so if you want to use SIV, you might need it.įor me, setting the fans and turning off the rgb stuff is all I need (bios!), so I removed everything after testing. Regarding the unwanted installations: to my knowledge, it is alway possible to install/update only the software you want, but you have to be careful and always check if something got selected automatically. So especially since you can do most of what you need in your bios, you should probably dodge that bullet completely.

Some tools do work (more or less.), but others just won't be of any help or break every now and then. The Software Gigabyte continues to inflict on people, I'd describe as somewhat of a catastrophe.
